Education Resources

“The ideal base for field trips to the coast.”

Education is one of our key aims. The NLH aims to educate at every level.

With the completion of our new education facility on the first floor at the hatchery, we are preparing more in depth workshops and activities to give students hands on experience of our scientific work and aquaculture techniques. Our lecture room now has a multimedia projector allowing the screening of films and computer based presentations.

Our location next to the Camel estuary and the nearby beaches, combined with the benefit of our facilities, expertise in identifying aquatic organisms and explaining aspects of the marine environment, makes the NLH the ideal base for field trips to the coast.

This education/research facility was part funded by:

“As we are a charity, we rely upon our admission fees and shop sales from our visitor centre, company sponsorship, public and private funding, and donations. With your help, we will be able to further invest in our ongoing conservation programme and new public displays.
