BOOK LAUNCH for The Secret Tunnels of Padstow 26th April 2014

front coverPop in anytime between 10am and 5pm at The National Lobster Hatchery. Meet the author and illustrator, view the original illustrations, purchase your signed copy and gain free entry for one person into the Lobster Hatchery (for one day only).

A perfect first chapter book for 5 to 8 year olds, or read it to younger children, one chapter a night.

Charlie and Sarah cross the estuary from Rock to Padstow in a beautiful mussel shell with a kelp sail; they hitch a ride with a Scotty Dog in a tartan jacket and get slimed by Helix the garden snail.

At the front and back of the book is a Wildlife Guide so that children can go and find the creatures they have met in the story and a Herring Gull Matrix and Guide to become expert bird spotters. No longer will they be known as Seagulls, they will be Greater black-backed gulls, Kittiwakes or Black-headed gulls.

Also included is a map of Padstow and Rock with a trail around the town to find all the cool things for kids, with a couple of challenges on the way. Have you ever spotted the mounted horseman on the roof? Have you walked through Marble Arch? Have you seen the size of the key and lock at Prideaux Place?
