National Lobster Hatchery

is a charity that was set up to support the cornish fishery and local lobster population. Lobsters are nurtured from egg through their most vunerable stage of their life cycle and released back into the wild. The visitor centre is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.

We are pleased to announce that we have a location for Beach Guardian! We will be based in 'The Core Building' in Padstow (next to the library) where we have an outdoor space and inside work benches.

There will be opportunities for schools and other groups to visit and participate in a workshop to learn about the problems with plastic pollution and to be part of the solution. As well as make some art from the plastics we have collected from our beach cleans.

The first thing that we will be doing is our "Beach Guardian Club" which is open to children aged 9-12 years of age. We are initially running four sessions, starting Wednesday 15th August, which your child can attend for all four weeks for £30 (works out at £7.50 per session).

Places are limited. Times will be 6.30pm - 8.00pm for the last 4 Wednesdays of the summer holidays. To enquire and to put your child's name down, please email workshops@beachguardian.co.uk. Thanks to Liverty for their support with this project.
